Varya Yakovleva is a Russian artist and animator currently in exile, based in France. Member of the L’atelier des artistes en exil. Her art-work has been shown in 9 solo exhibitions and over 60 group exhibitions.
Participant and prize-winner in international animation and illustration festivals. Varya has directed animated films: “Anna, Cat-and-Mouse” (2019), “Life is a Bitch” (2020) and “Oneluv” (2022), at over 200 international festivals and have received over 25 international awards.
She has been teaching art since 2018 including lecturer at the British Higher School of Art and Design (Moscow, Russia) and Faculty of Design and Art Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Bolzano, Italy).
