Holger Lang is an Austrian filmmaker, artist, educator, researcher and programmer living and working in Vienna. His artistic focus ranges from abstract and conceptual work to experimental and interdisciplinary projects. For 30 years, he has taught animation, media arts, aesthetics, and production at various universities. He is the founder of the festival Under the Radar for experimental film and animation and curates film series, art exhibitions and academic symposia. He is one of the board members of ASIFA AUSTRIA, where he supports, promotes, and distributes contemporary Austrian animation. His own artistic output in film, experimental animation and fine arts has been shown in solo and group screenings and exhibitions in various countries. Born in Germany, he grew up in rural Austria, spent several years in the US and UK and – for now– settled in Vienna.
